Things I am thankful for

I am thankful for many things in my life. It is hard to narrow it down to just a few. The most important things I am thankful for are my family and friends. Without my family and friends, I would not be the person I am today. I am also glad that everyone in my family is safe and healthy. This is very important to me. Another thing I am thankful for is God. He is the reason I am alive. With Him, anything is possible. One other thing I am thankful for is the great school I go to. Peoria Notre Dame is a great high school to get an education at. It is also a safe and friendly environment. I have made many friends and memories here, and I hope to make a lot more! The holidays always help me to take the time to realize all of the things I am thankful for.

Newscast Project Experience

I thought the newscast project was somewhat difficult. The directions were hard to understand and were a little unclear. We are still working on it. Right now, we are trying to figure out how to add our Day of the Dead video we found about their traditions. Our video basically sums up what we talked about in our newscast. The Day of the Dead is a very interesting Mexican Holiday. It is kind of like Halloween for us because people dress up. In the end, I think our video will be really good. We have been working really hard, and, so far, it looks pretty good. I can't wait until it is done!

Political Cartoon

I thought picking a political cartoon was somewhat difficult. Most of them I didn't understand or weren't funny. I chose this one because it was one of the few I actually understood. This picture shows that Hillary Clinton had a lot of experience, but Obama had hardly any. She might have had a lot of experience, but a lot of it was very controversial and negative. The presidential race was a long and tough one, but I am glad Obama won. I think he has a lot to offer.

Invention

If I could invent anything, it would be a time machine. It would be cool to go back in time and see how everything has changed. I wouldn't want to go forward in time because I don't want to know what is going to happen to me in my life. It would ruin my future and all of the challenges I have to overcome if I know how it is going to turn out. It would very interesting if someone could actually invent a time machine, but it would not surprise me because all of the new inventions we have now.

Inspirational Picture

I have always loved watching the sun set on the beach. I think this picture is very inspirational! The beach is always a peaceful and calming place to me. In this picture, the ocean is so pretty and care-free, but yet it is also dangerous and mysterious. The tide comes in and washes away all traces of footprints along the beach. This kind of represents problems being washed away and a fresh start. Whenever I go to the beach, I always just sit and watch the waves rolling in and think about the things on my mind. This picture mainly represents the natural power and beauty there is on earth.

Scary Movie Podcast Experience

The podcast project we did on the scary movie actually turned out to be fun! It was really hard and confusing at first. None of the directions made sense to me and just confused me even more. I had to ask other people for help, but it finally started to make sense. It was funny listening to the different jingles and voice effects. I also enjoyed putting the sounds together for the scary music effect. I can't wait to make the podcast video now!
